  • Large Format: drawings scanned upto 1270mm (50 inches) wide in mono, greyscale and full colour.  Drawings are normally scanned at between 200 – 300 dpi, and can be taken from well logs, blueprints, tracings, linen and even delicate originals or rigid boards.  With our specialist devices and software, first-pass scans are acceptable.  However, where required we have additional post-scanning applications to achieve the best possible result regardless of original image quality.  Scans are deskewed, despeckled and indexed in a single process.  In addition to the scan having the drawing number we can at the clean-up stage easily add several fields of information.  i.e. drawing number, drawing title, revision, date, discipline codes.  From these entries we can create a CSV file spreadsheet to accompany the drawings to allow bulk loading into your DMS.  Saving as a TIFF file gives a suitable and stable platform for further conversion should you require. 

    Repro-Overflow has completed many tasks in excess of 100,000 drawings and references can be made available on request.

  • Documents: we can scan bound documents / loose leaf text or workpacks to generate a multipage TIFF.  The most common request for a document is to be finished as a PDF file complete with bookmarks.  We can also offer to make the PDF files fully word searchable (ideal particularly for legal departments). Depending on your future requirements, we can offer a range of options.  The documents can be fully OCR’d, enabling you to edit and amend any old document to a new revision without the need to retype whole documents.  Documents can be returned in formats including Word and Excel to suit your needs.

  • Microfilm Repro-Overflow offer a full microfilm scanning service.  Depending on the content of the microfilm sheets, we can output with the same options as detailed above for drawings and documents.
